Jennie is the Practice Manager at Modbury Dental Practice. She brings with her over two decades of experience in the dental profession. With a strong foundation in clinical practice and a deep commitment to patient care, Jennie plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth, compassionate, and efficient running of the practice.
Her journey in dentistry began as a dental nurse, qualifying in 2006. From there, she built an extensive clinical career, spending 16 years in the Maxillofacial department at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. During this time, she worked closely with patients undergoing complex surgical procedures. Not just offering clinical support but also emotional reassurance during some of their most difficult experiences. This time in hospital dentistry shaped her understanding of the importance of holistic care, empathy, and communication — principles she brings to every aspect of her work.
Jennie has continuously developed her skills and knowledge through further education and training. She holds post-qualifications in Special Care Dental Nursing, Orthodontic Nursing, and Oral Health Education. Se also holds a Level 3 qualification in Dental Practice Management. These have provided her with a well-rounded skill set that bridges both patient-facing and managerial roles. Her ability to lead a team while keeping patient wellbeing at the heart of the practice is one of her greatest strengths.
As Practice Manager, Jennie is responsible for overseeing daily operations. From supporting the clinical team, and ensuring that every patient who walks through the door receives high-quality, compassionate care. She is passionate about creating a welcoming environment for both patients and staff. Jennie is always looking for ways to improve the patient journey and enhance team morale.
Outside of her professional life, Jennie enjoys spending time with her family. She’s often found cheering on her son from the side-lines at football matches or enjoying peaceful walks in the countryside with her dog, Colin. Her down-to-earth nature and dedication to others shine through in everything she does — both at work and beyond.
